Charlie Stuart-King is a UX Design Lead with Optaros. He has over 10 years of experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, usability architect and consultant.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Stuart-King has gained deep knowledge related to the financial industry (Fidelity, JP Morgan, Fleet, Bank of America), retail (Macys & Talbots), lotteries (UK National Lottery/GTECH), publishing (Houghton Mifflin & King Digital), healthcare (Perkin Elmer & P&G) and Media and Entertainment (Apple Records, Fox Broad-casting & Walt Disney).

At Optaros, Mr. Stuart-King is a Design Lead in the Boston office. He is responsible for leading design on internal applications as well as multiple client engagements, including Macys, Fox, P&G, and King Digital.

Prior to joining Optaros, Mr. Stuart-King was a VP / Sr. Designer at Bank of America’s Global Wealth Investment Management division in Boston. His responsibilities included the design and management of a 350-page retirement education site, which crossed 14 business units and was overseen by a team of 35 lawyers. Mr. Stuart-King also served as the design lead for the re-design of the brokerage online application process, designed a multitude of smaller initiatives, and managed vendors for the bank’s private banking customers. During these engagements, Mr. Stuart-King was responsible for adhering to ADA standards.

As a consultant for Molecular consulting firm in Boston, Mr. Stuart-King’s primary role was as an interaction designer. He worked with large financial, healthcare and retail companies in small to mid-sized projects with the aim of improving portions of existing sites. During his time at Molecular, Mr. Stuart-King was an avid advocate for usability testing and ethnographic studies for confirming and refining solutions to ensure clients obtained solid success metrics.

Mr. Stuart-King lives in the Boston area. He has a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in Surrey, England. In addition, he holds foundation studies certificates in Fine Arts and from the British Kinematography School in London, England. He also possesses level I+II html skills from the AGI.
