Dave Gynn

Dave Gynn is a lead architect at Optaros, Inc. and has fifteen years of experience leading and delivering Web and client-server solutions in both start-up and enterprise environments. At Optaros, Dave leads the Enterprise Tools and Frameworks group which is responsible for Optaros' collaborative development tools and application assembly methodology. Dave works with project teams to apply best practices and to identify and evaluate open source framework reuse opportunities.

Previously, Mr. Gynn developed and led the technology team at Acumen Journal of Sciences, a publication dedicated to the business, economics and policy of life sciences and healthcare, to build its core infrastructure – an internal knowledge management system and a client-facing research delivery system. Before joining Acumen, Mr. Gynn led some of Viant Corporation’s largest projects as lead architect over his six-year tenure, including a ten million dollar on-line lottery project with over 60 consultants. Other clients included Charles Schwab, NASCAR, Cartoon Network, and Tandem Computers. Mr. Gynn also worked at Seer Technologies as a consultant and technical product specialist in earlier in his career.

Mr. Gynn has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently lives in the heart of San Francisco, CA.
