Rich Highland is Director of Distributed Development at Optaros and has 20 years of technical consulting experience. At Optaros, Mr. Highland is responsible for OptAM – the firm's innovative application assembly methodology.
Prior to joining Optaros, Mr. Highland was Director of Catapult Services at Ascend Consulting in Waltham, Massachusetts where he was responsible for delivering facilitated executive workshops to financial services clients and for driving methodology and best practices across the organization.
Formerly, Mr. Highland ran the Professional Services organizations at Open Pages Software and at Akamai Technologies, where he managed consulting teams delivering needs analysis and software implementation services to customers in the US, Europe and Japan.
Earlier in his career Mr. Highland was a Director at Cambridge Technology Partners, where he held a number of positions including project manager, Client Partner and Northeast Regional Director of the CRM Service Line. Mr. Highland holds a BA (Economics) from Colby College and earned an MBA from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College.
